Does vatnode have an uptime SLA?

vatnode does not publish a numeric uptime SLA on its self-serve plans.

What reliability rests on

Reliability comes from two things: caching, and the national-registry fallback that keeps answers flowing across VIES outages for the countries that have one. Repeat lookups are served from cache, and when VIES is down a covered country is answered by its national registry instead. If neither is possible, the API returns VIES_UNAVAILABLE rather than a false ‘invalid’ – see the question on what happens when VIES is temporarily unavailable.

What you can check yourself

The status page shows live health of the API, database and cache, plus 30-day VIES uptime by country, refreshed continuously. It reports vatnode’s ability to reach the EU endpoint at the time of the check; vatnode is not affiliated with the European Commission. The coverage page shows which countries have a national fallback.

If you need a contractual commitment

Enterprise customers can request a custom SLA as part of an agreement. For self-serve plans, build for the failure modes yourself: retry on VIES_UNAVAILABLE, and keep a pending state in your flow for numbers that couldn’t be checked right away.
