System status

What each component means

API:

Core vatnode endpoints (/v1/vat, /v1/rates, dashboard). Reachable via HTTPS.

Database:

PostgreSQL storing your API keys, check history, and subscriptions.

Cache:

Redis speeding up repeat VAT lookups. If degraded, every request hits VIES directly — validation still works, just slightly slower.

VIES:

European Commission VAT service. If degraded, vatnode automatically falls back to national tax authority or company registry APIs for covered countries.
