Where is my data hosted, and who operates vatnode?

vatnode is operated by TMI Iurii Rogulia, a sole proprietorship based in Finland. All infrastructure – database, API, and web hosting – runs on servers in Frankfurt, Germany, so your data stays in the EU end to end.

Who operates vatnode

The operator and data controller is TMI Iurii Rogulia, registered in Finland, with a business address in Lappeenranta. The privacy policy and the DPA carry the full legal details and contact addresses.

Where the data lives

• Server infrastructure (database, API and web hosting) is provided by Vultr Holdings LLC in Frankfurt, Germany.
• The self-hosted tools that run on that server – Coolify, Docker, Redis and PostgreSQL – are software operated directly by vatnode, so data does not leave that infrastructure to reach them.
• Card payments are processed by Mollie B.V. in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Other subprocessors, such as transactional email, error monitoring and the Cloudflare network in front of the site, are listed with their locations and the safeguards in place at /legal/subprocessors.

Where VAT checks go

A validation is sent to the EU VIES system and, for some countries, to national tax-authority or company-registry APIs. These bodies act as independent data controllers rather than as vatnode subprocessors. Requester VAT numbers (when you set one) go to VIES only.
